Abstract

Cervical pain is a public health issue that affects nearly half of the global population. It can impair an individual’s functional capacity, affecting work activity and, in some cases, social life. The pain in the upper trapezius and scapular angle is the most common symptom of this condition. Pain in the muscles focuses on a specific area known as a “Trigger Point.”

El dolor cervical es un problema de salud pública que afecta a casi la mitad de las personas a nivel mundial; puede alterar la capacidad funcional del individuo, afectando la actividad laboral y en algunos casos, influir en su vida social. El dolor en la región del trapecio superior y en el angular del omoplato es la sintomatología más común en este tipo de afección. El dolor producido en los músculos se centra en una zona específica denominado “Punto Gatillo”
