Level of knowledge about biosafety and application of biosafety principles of nursing staff, Surgical Center, Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, 2023

Abstract

The development in the field of health of biosecurity principles focuses on providing security in the activities of health professionals including patients and visitors from health institutions that are developed to control the risks present in this type of services where health workers are the main thing to comply with them and have the appropriate knowledge of it. The objective of the study is to be able to identify how knowledge is associated with the application of biosecurity principles by nursing staff at the Surgical Center, Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, 2022. For this, the hypothetical deductive, quantitative and descriptive method was used with a design that is non-experimental, with the participation of 65 nursing professionals, with the use of questionnaires and a comparison sheet, descriptive statistics will be used as inferential to be able to provide the conclusions of the case.

El desarrollo en el ámbito de la salud de los principios de bioseguridad se enfoca en lograr brindar una seguridad en las actividades de los profesionales de la salud incluido pacientes y visitantes de las instituciones de salud que se desarrollan para controlar los riesgos presentes en este tipo de servicios donde los trabajadores de salud son los principales en cumplirlas y tener el conocimiento adecuado de ello. Siendo el objetivo de estudio el poder identificar como el conocimiento se asocia con la aplicación de los principios de bioseguridad por parte del personal de enfermería en el Centro Quirúrgico, Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, 2022. Para ello se utilizó el método hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo y descriptivo con un diseño que es no experimental, con la participación de 65 profesionales de enfermería, con el uso de cuestionarios y una ficha de cotejo, se hará uso de estadísticas descriptivas como inferenciales para poder brindar las conclusiones del caso
