Level of knowledge of autoclave sterilization in nurses at the sterilization center of the Rebagliati hospital, Lima-2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about autoclave sterilization among nurses in the sterilization department at the Rebagliati Hospital, Lima 2021.

Methodology: A quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, non-experimental study with a deductive method. The population will include all nurses working in the Central Sterilization Service at Rebagliati Hospital in Lima, with 27 nurses selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria set forth in this research project. No sample size calculation was made.

Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: The technique used in the research will be a survey for the variable "Level of knowledge about autoclave sterilization." The instrument will be a questionnaire, which will measure: sterilization processes, quality indicators, placement of the surgical instrument set, and preparation of the surgical instrument packaging.

Procedures: Data collection will take place over three months in the central sterilization service at Rebagliati Hospital. Once data collection is complete, the data will be entered into the SPSS v.25 system.

Statistical Analysis: The data will be transferred to Excel v.2020, and the results will be interpreted through graphs and tables, which will then be discussed and compared with the objectives set forth.

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento de esterilización en autoclave en enfermeras de central de esterilización del Hospital Rebagliati, Lima 2021 Metodología: estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, corte transversal, tipo descriptivo, no experimental, método deductivo. la población serán todos los enfermeros que laboran en el servicio de Central de Esterilización del Hospital Rebagliati, Lima; siendo 27 enfermeros los cuales están seleccionados de acuerdo con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión propuestas en el presente proyecto de investigación, no se calculó tamaño muestral. Técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos: la técnica utilizada en la investigación será la encuesta para la variable Nivel de conocimiento de esterilización en autoclave; El instrumento utilizado será el cuestionario, el mismo que medirá: procesos de esterilización, indicadores de calidad, colocación del set de material quirúrgico y preparación del empaque del material quirúrgico. Procedimientos: la recolección de datos se realizará en tres meses en el servicio de central de esterilización del Hospital Rebagliati, al finalizar la recolección de los datos se ingresará al sistema SPS v.25 Análisis Estadístico: posteriormente se ingresará al programa Excel v.2020 luego de obtener los resultados que se interpretarán mediante gráficos y cuadros, estos serán discutidos y comparados con los objetivos planteados.
