Knowledge and its relationship with nursing care on percutaneous catheter in the neonatal intensive care service of the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren Hospital

Abstract

Every year, more than one million premature babies die, with 90% of these deaths occurring before reaching their first month of life due to various complications such as birth depression syndrome, respiratory distress, ventricular hemorrhages, sepsis, necrotizing enterocolitis, cerebral palsy, metabolic disorders, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. The aim of the study is to "Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and nursing care regarding the percutaneous catheter in the neonatal intensive care unit of Alberto Sabogal Sologuren Hospital, Callao 2022." The research method used will be the "hypothetico-deductive method," with a quantitative approach where the study variables can be interpreted numerically. A quantitative approach is chosen because the variables can be measured through statistical testing, and it will be applied to provide answers to the posed problem, while seeking solutions from a scientific perspective. The design is non-experimental and cross-sectional, where the mentioned variables will not be manipulated, and the study will be carried out within a set timeframe. The population and sample consist of 70 nursing professionals, and the entire population will be included, so the sample will be census-based. For statistical analysis, Microsoft Excel will be used, followed by SPSS version 26. The results will be presented in tables and/or graphs.

El estudio tiene como objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y el cuidado de enfermería sobre catéter percutáneo del servicio de cuidados intensivos neonatal del hospital Alberto Sabogal Sologuren, Callao 2022”. Asimismo, se utilizará el método de investigación “método hipotético deductivo”, con un enfoque cuantitativo donde las variables de estudios podrán ser interpretadas numéricamente, el enfoque cuantitativo porque las variables se podrán medir a través de una prueba estadística, será aplicada, porque dará respuestas al problema planteado y a su vez se buscarán la forma de brindar soluciones pero desde el punto de vista científico, el diseño no experimental y de corte transversal, donde las variables mencionadas no serán manipuladas y se llevara a cabo en un tiempo establecido. La población y muestra: está conformada por 70 profesionales de enfermería, asimismo, se trabajará con toda la población por lo que la muestra será censal, para el análisis estadístico se utilizará el programa Microsoft Excel, luego el SPPS versión 26., los resultados se mostrarán en tablas y/o gráficos.
