Efficacy of music therapy for the physiological stability of the premature newborn

Abstract

Objective: Systematize the available evidence from the studies carried out on the effectiveness of music therapy for the physiological stability of the premature newborn. Material and method: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles found on the effectiveness of music therapy for the physiological stability of the newborn. premature, were found in the following database Pubmed Scielo, Medline, Ebsco, Elsevier, Dialnet, ProQuest and Google academic, all of them were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Of the 10 articles reviewed, 90% (9/10) correspond to the methodological design of methodological review, 1% (1/10) corresponds to meta-analysis. Results: Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 90% (9/10) show the effectiveness of music therapy for the physiological stability of premature newborns and 1% (1/10) showed that there is no significant effect of music therapy for the physiological stability of the premature newborn Conclusions: 9 of 10 reviewed articles show the effectiveness of music therapy for the physiological stability of the premature newborn and 1 of 10 does not show the effectiveness of music therapy for the physiological stability of the premature newborn.

Objetivo: Sistematizar las evidencias disponibles de los estudios realizados sobre la eficacia de la musicoterapia para la estabilidad fisiológica del recién nacido prematuro Material y método: La revisión sistemática de los 10 artículos científicos encontrados sobre la eficacia de la musicoterapia para la estabilidad fisiológica del recién nacido prematuro, fueron hallados en la siguiente base de datos Pubmed Scielo, Medline, Ebsco, Elsevier, Dialnet, ProQuest y Google académico todos ellos fueron analizados según la escala Grade para determinar su fuerza y calidad de evidencia.
