Workload and its relationship with stress among workers at Breña health center, Lima 2023

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between workload and stress among healthcare workers at a health center located in Lima, 2023. Its methodological orientation is quantitative, correlational level, with which 88 people were surveyed. The technique used to collect data was the survey, and the instrument used was the questionnaire. The results obtained show that the workload is at a medium level (61.4%), followed by the high level (37.5%) and low (1.1%), while work stress is at the medium level (75.0%), followed by the low level (21.6%) and high (3.0%). The hypothesis test showed that there is a significant correlation between these variables (p = .000 <0.05), positive and very high (Spearman's rho = .996). It is concluded that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and, consequently, the null hypothesis is rejected. Therefore, it is affirmed that the greater the workload, the greater the perceived stress among the workers in the study sample.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la carga laboral y el estrés de los trabajadores de un centro de salud ubicado en Lima, 2023. Material y métodos: Su orientación metodológica es cuantitativa, nivel correlacional, con el que se encuestó a 88 personas. Su técnica para recolectar datos fue la encuesta y el instrumento utilizado es el cuestionario. Se obtuvo por resultados que la carga laboral tiene un nivel medio (61,4%), seguida del nivel alto (37,5%) y bajo (1,1%), mientras que el estrés laboral se encuentra en el nivel medio (75,0%), seguido del nivel bajo (21,6%) y alto (3,0%). Su prueba de hipótesis demostró que entre estas variables existe una correlación significativa (p= ,000<0,05), positiva y muy alta (rho de Spearman= ,996).
