Knowledge and practices of prevention of iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children from 6 to 12 months in the Amarilis primary care center, Essalud - Huánuco, 2021

Abstract

This research work focuses on a problem of utmost relevance today, since the knowledge and practice of mothers to prevent iron deficiency anemia in children aged 6 to 12 months is essential to ensure the adequate and normal growth and development of infants, aspects that are addressed by nursing professionals through various actions such as nutritional counseling and constant monitoring as part of the health care and comprehensive development carried out in the CRED area. Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge and practices for the prevention of iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children aged 6 to 12 months at the Amarilis Primary Care Center, Essalud - Huánuco, 2021. Materials and methods: the approach will be quantitative, applied, with a descriptive-correlational scope and a non-experimental-cross-sectional design. The sample will be 50 mothers. The technique will be the survey and the instruments will be two questionnaires, one to measure the knowledge variable and another for the practical variable of prevention of iron deficiency anemia in children from 6 to 12 months.

Este trabajo de investigación se centra en una problemática de suma relevancia en la actualidad, pues el conocimiento y la práctica de las madres para prevenir la anemia ferropénica en niños de 6 a 12 meses es insoslayable para asegurar el adecuado y normal crecimiento y desarrollo de los infantes, aspectos que son abordados por los Enfermería mediante diversas acciones como la consejería nutricional y el seguimiento constante como parte de las atenciones de salud y desarrollo integral que se realizan en el área de CRED. Objetivo: determinar cuál es la relación entre conocimientos y prácticas de prevención de anemia ferropénica en madres de niños de 6 a 12 meses en el Centro de Atención Primaria Amarilis, Essalud – Huánuco, 2021 Materiales y métodos: el enfoque será cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, con alcance descriptivo-correlacional y diseño no experimental-transversal. la muestra será de 50 madres de familia. la técnica será la encuesta y los instrumentos serán dos cuestionarios, uno para medir la variable conocimiento y otro para la variable práctica de prevención de anemia ferropénica en niños de 6 a 12 meses.
