Relationship Between Knowledge and Practices of Central Venous Catheter Care in Critical Patients by Nursing Staff at San Gabriel Clinic, Lima 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practices of nursing professionals regarding the care of central venous catheters in critical patients. Methodology: Quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, and correlational research. The population consists of 60 registered nurses, with the sample being the same 60 nurses. Techniques: The research involves two variables. For the first variable, a survey was used. For the second variable, a checklist was applied. Data collection will take place over one week. After collecting the information through the instrument, data will be entered into the SPSS21 program for analysis.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas del profesional de enfermería sobre el cuidado del catéter venoso central en pacientes críticos. Metodología: Investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva, transversal, y correlacional. La población está constituida por 60 licenciados, siendo la muestra 60 licenciados. Técnicas: La investigación tiene 2 variables. Para la primera variable se utilizó la encuesta. Para la segunda variable se aplicó una lista de cotejo. La recolección de datos se realizará en una semana. Luego de recolectar la información a través del instrumento, se aplicará el ingreso de datos al programa SPSS21.
