Level of knowledge and practice of biosafety measures of the nursing staff of the neonatology service, public hospital 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Research in the field of health and biosafety developed around the world focuses on acute or chronic epidemics caused by various pathogens. In this sense, biosafety allows the development of processes and procedures to minimize and investigate hazards, prevent hazards, and ensure that processes are completed to avoid stability breakdowns. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practices of the biosafety measures of the Nursing staff of the Neonatology Service, Hospital Public 2023. Methodology: The research has a quantitative orientation, with a type of applied research, it will also be based on correlation levels, non-experimental type with cross section, the sample is 84 nurses in which two instruments will be used: the first is the level of knowledge of biosafety measures, and the second is the biosafety practices questionnaire prepared by Vega. Then the descriptive analysis and inference will be carried out using the IBM SPSS version 26.0 program, resulting in the creation of tables and graphs and the relationship between the variables under study through coeficient of correlationship Rho de Spearman to carry out their differential analysis.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas de las medidas de bioseguridad del personal de Enfermería del Servicio de Neonatología, Hospital Púbico 2022. Metodología: La investigación tiene una orientación cuantitativa, con un tipo de investigación aplicada, también se basará en niveles de correlación, tipo no experimental con corte transversal, la muestra es de 84 personal de enfermería en la cual se utilizará dos instrumentos: el primero es el de nivel de conocimientos de las medidas de bioseguridad, y el segundo es el cuestionario de prácticas de bioseguridad elaborado por Vega. Luego se realizará el análisis descriptivo y la inferencia utilizando el programa IBM SPSS versión 26.0, dando como resultado la creación de tablas y gráficos y la relación entre las variables objeto de estudio mediante el coeficiente de correlación de Rho de Spearman para realizar análisis diferencial de las mismas
