Relationship between tooth wear and work stress in the drivers of the company Transporte Veloz, in the period of August – November, Lima 2022

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between dental wear and occupational stress in drivers of the Transporte Veloz company during the period from August to November 2022. A quantitative approach was employed, with a basic type and descriptive correlational scope, cross-sectional in nature, and a sample of 75 drivers from the Transporte Veloz company. The instruments used were an observation form for dental wear and a questionnaire for occupational stress in drivers. The Spearman's R statistical test was applied, with the results showing a significance level of 0.598, which is greater than 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the null hypothesis and the rejection of the alternative hypothesis, stating that there is no significant relationship between dental wear and occupational stress. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between dental wear and occupational stress.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo de estudio determinar la relación entre el desgaste dentario y estrés laboral en los conductores de la empresa Transporte Veloz, en el periodo de agosto – noviembre, Lima 2022 para ello empleó una metodología de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico con un alcance descriptivo correlacional de corte trasversal con una muestra de 75 conductores de la empresa Transporte Veloz, asimismo los instrumentos empleados fueron una ficha de observación para desgaste dentario y un cuestionario para estrés laboral en conductores. Se aplicó la prueba estadística R de Spearman, identificando en los resultados que nivel de significancia es de 0.598, siendo mayor al 0.05 aceptándose la hipótesis nula y se rechazándose la alterna, afirmando que no existe relación significativa entre la variable desgaste dentario y estrés laboral. Por tanto, se concluye respecto a la variable desgaste dentario y estrés laboral, que no existe relación significativa entre ellas.
