Knowledge and Attitudes about Healthy Eating in mothers members of the Comedor - Popular del AA.HH. July 28 Campoy - 2022

Abstract

The objective of this study was: 'To determine the level of knowledge and attitudes regarding Healthy Eating' among mothers who are members of the Popular Dining Hall in AA.HH 28 de Julio, Campoy-Lima, in 2022. A deductive design methodology with a quantitative approach and a descriptive, non-experimental research design was used. The sample consisted of 40 mothers who are members of the Popular Dining Hall in AA.HH. 28 de Julio, Campoy – Lima. The results showed that 62.50% demonstrated a medium level of knowledge about healthy eating, followed by 22.55% with high levels, and only 15% with low levels. Regarding attitudes, 69.25% (n=28) had a positive evaluation by agreeing with healthy eating, while only 5.5% (n=2) strongly agreed, and 5.5% (n=2) disagreed. Meanwhile, 19.75% (n=8) had a neutral evaluation. It was concluded that mothers have moderate knowledge and attitudes, which can be improved.

El estudio es de tipo observacional, analítico y retrospectivo. Se recolectaron los puntajes de la herramienta SARC-F para identificar riesgo de sarcopenia y, del registro de historia clínica electrónica, se obtuvo la información para determinar la presencia de complicaciones posoperatorias que posteriormente fueron clasificados según el criterio de Clavien-Dindo. La muestra fue de 244 pacientes adultos hospitalizados que tuvieron cirugía abdominal entre junio a setiembre del 2019. El riesgo de sarcopenia se presentó en el 18.2% de pacientes con predominio en mayores de 60 años, mientras que la proporción de pacientes que tuvieron complicaciones posoperatorias llegó al 18%, con mayoría masculina. Se detectaron más casos de complicaciones posoperatorias en los pacientes con riesgo de sarcopenia (55.6%). Con el análisis bivariado se halló relación estadísticamente significativa (p=0.000) entre el riesgo de sarcopenia y complicaciones posoperatorias [Odds Ratio (OR) 11.8, 95% IC 5.6-25.2]. Se concluye que el riesgo de sarcopenia favorecería en forma significativa la aparición de complicaciones posoperatorias.
