Effectiveness of the challenge test in steam sterilization of surgical material

Abstract

Objective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of the challenge test in steam sterilization of surgical material. Materials and Methods: Systematic review that synthesizes the results of multiple primary investigations. With a population of 10 items. Results: In the data search, the effectiveness of the challenge test in steam sterilization of surgical material was examined. According to the results obtained from the systematic review, they show that, of the total number of articles reviewed, 20% of these correspond to Brazil, 10% correspond to Cuba, 20% correspond to Argentina, 10% correspond to Mexico. According to the search of the different magazines mentioned Google Academic, DECS, SCIELO, LILACS, SOBECC Magazine. etc Conclusion: The systematic review 10 of 10 scientific articles, of the works were effective in the development of the challenge test in Steam Sterilization of Surgical Material, were found from the following databases PubMed, Sciencedirect, Scielo, all of them correspond to the type and design of systematic review studies, prospective randomized clinical trials and cohort studies. It is concluded that all the studies reviewed in this work indicate that the challenge test is important and effective for the steam sterilization process of surgical material.

Objetivo: Sistematizar las evidencias sobre la efectividad de la prueba de desafío en la esterilización a vapor del material quirúrgico. Materiales y Métodos: Revisión sistemática que sintetiza los resultados de múltiples investigaciones primarias. Con una población de 10 artículos. Resultados: En la búsqueda de datos se examinó la efectividad de la prueba de desafío en la esterilización a vapor del material quirúrgico. Según los resultados obtenidos de la revisión sistemática, muestran que, del total de artículos revisados, que el 20% de estos corresponden a Brasil, 10% corresponde a Cuba, 20% corresponde a Argentina 10%, corresponden a México 10%. Según la búsqueda de las diferentes revistas mencionadas Google Académico, DECS, SCIELO, LILACS, Revista SOBECC. etc. Conclusión: La revisión sistemática 10 de 10 artículos científicos, de los trabajos fueron efectivos en el desarrollo de la prueba de desafío en la Esterilización a Vapor del Material quirúrgico, fueron halladas de las siguientes bases de datos PubMed, Sciencedirect, Scielo, todos ellos corresponden al tipo y diseño de estudios de revisión sistemática, ensayo clínico aleatorizado prospectivo y estudios de cohorte. Se concluye que todos los estudios revisados en el presente trabajo señalan que la prueba de desafío es importante y efectiva para el proceso de esterilización a vapor del material quirúrgico.
