Level of knowledge and application of the steam sterilization process in the nursing staff at the sterilization center at the Regional Hospital of Ayacucho - 2022

Abstract

The objective of this research will be to establish the relationship between knowledge and application of the steam sterilization process in the nursing staff at the Sterilization Central Hospital Regional de Ayacucho-2022. Methodological design: The type of research is applied, hypothetical-deductive, correlational, observational and transversal method. Population: It will be 32 nursing professionals who work in the Sterilization Center of the Regional Hospital of Ayacucho. Sample: It will be made up of 32 nurses. Instruments: To evaluate the variable: knowledge of the sterilization process, a questionnaire with optional answers will be applied and to evaluate the variable application of the steam sterilization process, an observation sheet will be applied to observe the actions carried out by the nursing staff. . The data collection techniques will be the survey and observation. Data processing and analysis: It will be carried out through the application of descriptive statistics that will present the results in frequency tables and inferential statistics through the application of Spearman's Rho test to verify the hypotheses raised in the research.

El objetivo de la presente investigación será establecer la relación entre el conocimiento y aplicación sobre el proceso de esterilización a vapor en el personal de enfermería en Central de Esterilización Hospital Regional de Ayacucho-2022. Diseño metodológico: El tipo de investigación es aplicada, método hipotético-deductivo, correlacional, observacional y trasversal. Población: Será de 32 profesionales de enfermería que laboran en la Central de Esterilización del Hospital Regional de Ayacucho Muestra: Estará conformada por las 32 enfermeras. Instrumentos: Para evaluar la variable: conocimiento de proceso de esterilización, se aplicará un cuestionario con respuestas opcionales y para evaluar la variable aplicación del proceso de esterilización a vapor, se aplicará una ficha de observación para poder observar las acciones que realiza el personal de enfermería. Las técnicas de recolección de datos serán la encuesta y la observación. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: Se realizará mediante la aplicación de la estadística descriptiva que presentará los resultados en tablas de frecuencias y la estadística inferencial mediante la aplicación de la prueba Rho de Spearman para comprobar las hipótesis planteadas en la investigación.
