Knowledge about the prevention of pneumonia mechanical ventilation and its relationship with the practice of nursing professional in the ICU of a national hospital, Lima, 2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the knowledge about the prevention of pneumonia due to mechanical ventilation and its relationship with the practice of the nursing professional in the ICU of a National Hospital, Lima 2023. Methodology: The method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, design without intervention of correlational scope, the population will be made up of 90 nurses, the sample was census because it is a small population. For the data collection of the variable: Knowledge about preventive measures of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation, the survey technique will be applied and the instrument will be a questionnaire, consisting of 13 grouped items. For the collection of the information of the variable: Nursing practice will apply the observation technique and the instrument will be an observation guide, it contains 34 grouped items, once the information is collected, the data will be processed in the statistical program SPSS V26, it will be they will obtain frequency tables, tables and/or graphs; In addition, the hypotheses will be contrasted with the Spearman's Rho Correlation Statistical Test, having a significance level of p < 0.05.

Objetivo: Determinar el conocimiento sobre la prevención de la neumonía por ventilación mecánica y su relación con la práctica del profesional de enfermería en UCI de un Hospital Nacional, Lima 2023. Metodología: El método será hipotético–deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño sin intervención de alcance correlacional, la población será conformada por 90 enfermeros, la muestra fue censal por ser una población pequeña. Para la recolección de datos de la variable: Conocimiento sobre medidas preventivas de la neumonía asociada a ventilación mecánica se aplicará la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento un cuestionario, consta de 13 ítems agrupadas. Para la recolección de la información de la variable: Practica de enfermería aplicará la técnica de la observación y el instrumento será guía de observación, contiene 34 ítems agrupadas, una vez recolectada la información, los datos serán procesados en el programa estadístico SPSS V26, se obtendrán tablas de frecuencia, tablas y/o gráficos; además, las hipótesis serán contrastadas con la Prueba Estadística de Correlación Rho de Spearman, teniendo un nivel de significancia de p < 0.05.
