Musculoskeletal alterations related to teleworking in workers of the Diagnostools company during the covid-19 pandemic, 2022

Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between musculoskeletal disorders and teleworking among employees of the company Diagnostools during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022. In terms of methodology, 80 employees of Diagnostools participated and were assessed using the Kuorinka Nordic Questionnaire and the Telework Questionnaire. The study followed a hypothetical-deductive method, as it is a descriptive, relational research with a cross-sectional design. 72.5% of the musculoskeletal disorders identified in the employees were located in the cervical region, 62.5% in the dorsolumbar area, 56.2% in the shoulder, 38.8% in the wrist or hand, and 21.2% in the elbow or forearm. 60.0% of the workers reported that the conditions in which they performed telework were regular, 25.0% reported them as poor, and 15.0% considered them good. It was concluded that there is a relationship between musculoskeletal disorders and teleworking in employees of Diagnostools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employees presented disorders in the neck, dorsal or lumbar area, and shoulder, and the conditions in which they performed telework were regular.

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre las alteraciones musculoesqueléticas y el teletrabajo en los trabajadores de la empresa Diagnostools durante la pandemia por Covid-19, 2022. En cuanto a metodología, participaron 80 trabajadores de la empresa Diagnostools que fueron evaluados con el Cuestionario Nórdico de Kuorinka y el Cuestionario de Teletrabajo. Fue método hipotético deductivo ya que se trata de una investigación de tipo descriptivo, relacional y diseño tipo transversal. El 72,5% de las alteraciones musculoesqueléticas que presentaron los trabajadores fueron identificadas en la cervical, el 62,5% en la dorsolumbar; el 56,2% en hombro; el 38,8% en muñeca o mano; el 21,2% en el codo antebrazo. El 60,0% de los trabajadores obtuvo condiciones en que realizaban el teletrabajo eran regulares; el 25,0% que eran malas y el 15,0% que eran buenas. Se concluye que, hay relación de las alteraciones musculoesqueléticas y el teletrabajo en trabajadores de la empresa Diagnostools durante la pandemia por Covid-19. Los trabajadores presentaron alteraciones en el cuello; en la zona dorsal o lumbar y en el hombro y, que las condiciones en que realizaban el teletrabajo eran regulares.
