The quality of nursing care and the satisfaction of parents of neonates hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a Clinic in Lima in the year 2024

Abstract

For parents of newborns, the quality of nursing care is essential as it directly impacts their babies' experience and well-being. Nurses play a crucial role in newborn care due to their direct and continuous interaction with the infants during their stay. This project aims to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and parental satisfaction. The study employs applied research using the hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design, correlational scope, and a cross-sectional framework. The population consists of 80 parents of newborns, to whom two questionnaires will be administered to measure the two variables. The data will be processed using statistical software, and the results will validate the proposed hypotheses. Spearman's Rho coefficient will be applied to establish the relationship between the variables.

Para los padres de neonatos, la calidad de la atención de enfermería es fundamental, pues influye directamente en la experiencia y bienestar de sus bebés. Además, los enfermeros tienen contacto directo y continuo con los recién nacidos durante su estancia, desempeñando un papel crucial en su cuidado por ello el siguiente proyecto busca Determinar la relación entre la calidad de atención de enfermería y la satisfacción de los padres de neonatos mediante la Investigación de tipo aplicada en el que se emplea el método hipotético – deductivo de enfoque cuantitativo con la aplicación de un diseño no experimental teniendo un alcance correlacional y un corte transversal en una población conformada por 80 padres de neonatos. A ellos se les aplicará dos cuestionarios que medirán las dos variables. La información será procesada utilizando programas estadísticos y los resultados servirán para comprobar las hipótesis planteadas. Para el proceso de establecer la relación entre ambas variables se aplicará el coeficiente de Rho de Spearman.
