Level of knowledge of the care of the central venous catheter and its relationship to the practice in the nursing professional of the intensive care unit of a hospital in Lima, 2024

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Level of knowledge of the care of the central venous catheter and its relationship to the practice in the nursing professional of the intensive care unit of a hospital in Lima 2023. MATERIAL AND METHOD: This research was carried out according to the hypothetical - deductive, quantitative approach, cross-cutting, non-experimental and correlational average level method, it was possible to obtain the expected results according to its objectives, the population is composed of 80 nurses. To measure the two variables the technique to be used is survey and observation. Which will use a checklist. Whose reliability will be estimated by the Cronbach Alpha test, receiving a value of 0.85, which indicates the validity of the instrument for variable 1, using the Richardson KR formula, the instrument obtained 0.69, where it shows us a moderate reliability; therefore, that guaranteed us the reliability of the said instrument. PROCESSING: Once the information is available and the results of the equipment used in the intensive care unit of the Lima hospital are verified, the information will be encoded in Excel and thus a database is created. Then perform statistical processing using the SPSS tool version 26 to test the hypothesis and be able to establish one or more correlations between the study variables used the chi-square test and the Spearman correlation coefficient using a significance p < 0,05. Graphs and tables are concluded according to the purpose of the research.

Esta investigación se realizó de acuerdo al método hipotético - deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, corte transversal, no experimental y de nivel medio correlacional, se logró obtener los resultados esperado de acuerdo a sus objetivos, la población está conformada por 80 enfermeros. Para medir las dos variables la técnica a utilizarse es la encuesta y la observación. Donde se usará una lista de cotejo. Cuya confiabilidad será estimada mediante la prueba de Alpha de Cronbach, recibiendo un valor de 0.85, lo que indico la validez del instrumento para la variable 1, mediante la fórmula del KR de Richardson, el instrumento obtuvo 0.69, donde nos muestra una confiabilidad moderada; por lo tanto, eso nos garantizó la fiabilidad de dicho instrumento. Una vez disponible la información y verificados los resultados de los equipos utilizados en la unidad de terapia intensiva del hospital de Lima, se codificará la información en un programa Excel y de este modo se crea una base de datos. Luego, realizar procesamientos estadísticos utilizando el programa SPSS versión 26 para probar la hipótesis y establecer relaciones entre las variables de estudio utilizado la prueba de chi-cuadrado y el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman con significancia p < 0 ,05. Se concluye gráficos y tablas según el propósito de la investigación.
