Level of knowledge of the emergency nursing professional on earthquake response in the Hospital San Juan Bautista Huaral 2021

Abstract

Peru is considered highly seismic, earthquakes of strong intensities are constantly evident, with great loss of life and economic losses. The lack of knowledge and inadequate response actions contribute to this situation, which is why knowledge about earthquakes and disaster risk management is so important. The objective is to determine the level of knowledge of emergency nursing professionals who work at the San Juan Bautista Hospital, Huaral-2021. The study uses the quantitative, observational and cross-sectional method. The population and sample are professionals who provide care in the hospital from July to September 2021; Data collection is with the survey technique. To measure the level of knowledge, the questionnaire created and validated by Díaz Cotrina, 2017 will be used, an instrument composed of 24 items, divided into three dimensions, phase before, during and after an earthquake disaster, validity was submitted to judges, with 0.99 and reliability through pilot testing with a Kuder Richarson coefficient of 0.830, finally the data will be statistically processed in tables and graphs.

El Perú es considerado altamente sísmico, constantemente se evidencian sismos de intensidades fuertes, con grandes pérdidas de vida y económicas. La falta de conocimiento y las acciones inadecuadas de respuesta, contribuyen con esta situación, es por ello la importancia del conocimiento sobre sismo y gestión del riesgo de desastre. El objetivo es determinar el nivel de conocimiento de los profesionales de enfermería de emergencia, que laboran en el Hospital San Juan Bautista, Huaral-2021. El estudio utiliza el método cuantitativo, observacional y transversal. La población y la muestra son profesionales que brindan atención en el hospital de julio a septiembre del 2021; La recopilación de datos es con la técnica de encuesta. Para medir nivel de conocimientos se utilizará el cuestionario creado y validado por Díaz Cotrina, 2017, instrumento compuesto por 24 ítems, dividido en tres dimensiones, fase antes, durante y después de un desastre por sismo, la validez, fue sometido a jueces, con 0,99 y la confiabilidad a través prueba piloto con un coeficiente de Kuder Richarson de 0,830, finalmente los datos serán procesados estadísticamente en tablas y gráficos.
