Knowledge about the healing of the central venous catheter and the practice of the nursing professional of the intensive care service of a National Hospital of Metropolitan Lima, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: In the intensive care unit setting, the role of the nursing professional assumes a role of high importance, encompassing various responsibilities with the aim of providing highly specialized and quality care to critically ill patients. Objective: The objective of the present study is to determine the relationship between knowledge in the healing of the central venous catheter and the practice of the nursing professional in the intensive care unit of a National Hospital of Metropolitan Lima, 2023. Methods: The approach of this study is quantitative and it is a non-experimental research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample will consist of 102 nurses who provide their services in the intensive care unit of a National Hospital in Metropolitan Lima. To collect data, an instrument that has been validated and is considered reliable will be used.

Introducción: En el entorno de la unidad de cuidados intensivos, el rol del profesional de enfermería asume un papel de alta importancia, abarcando diversas responsabilidades con el objetivo de proporcionar una atención altamente especializada y de calidad a los pacientes en estado crítico. Objetivo: El objetivo del presente estudio es determinar la relación entre el conocimiento en la curación del catéter venoso central y la práctica del profesional de enfermería en la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima Metropolitana, 2023. Métodos: El enfoque de este estudio es cuantitativo y se trata de un diseño de investigación no experimental con un enfoque transversal. La muestra estará compuesta por 102 enfermeras que prestan sus servicios en la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima Metropolitana. Para recopilar datos, se utilizará un instrumento que ha sido validado y se considera confiable.
