Perception of humanized care and coping of patients with cancer care at a national hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Humanization is related to the ability of the nursing professional to perceive individually from the patient's perspective according to their needs, based on effective communication about their diagnosis, treatment and prognosis; In addition, to promote their autonomy, nurse-patient interaction, emotional and spiritual support; leading him to try to cope with positive coping during hospitalization. Objective: Determine the relationship that exists between humanized care and coping of cancer patients treated at a National Hospital in Lima, 2023. Methodology: The research method is hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative approach, applied type, cross-sectional, design non-experimental and correlational; The population will be made up of 80 cancer patients during the month of October 2023; Likewise, the sample will be the same because it is a small population (less than 100); That is, the entire census population will be taken and the sampling will be no probabilistic for convenience and intention. The techniques will be surveys and two validated questionnaires. To collect data, processing will be carried out using the statistical software Microsoft Excel 2021 and the SPSS Statistical Program version 26.0; and to test hypotheses, the Spearman Correlation Test (Rh0) will be applied to determine the relationship between the variables.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre la percepción del cuidado humanizado con el afrontamiento del paciente con cáncer atendidos en un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2023. Metodología: El método fue hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, de corte transversal, diseño no experimental y correlacional; la población estará conformada por 80 pacientes con cáncer durante el mes de octubre 2023; asimismo, la muestra será la misma por ser una población pequeña (menor de 100); es decir, se tomará al total de la población censal y el muestreo será no probabilístico por conveniencia e intencional. Las técnicas serán las encuestas y dos cuestionarios validados. Para la recolección de datos se procederá al procesamiento mediante el software estadístico Microsoft Excel 2021 y el Programa Estadístico SPSS versión 26.0; y para la contrastación de hipótesis se aplicará la Prueba de Correlación de Spearman (Rh0) para determinar la relación entre las variables.
