Level of knowledge and practice in the process of cleaning and disinfection of surgical instruments in the nursing staff, central sterilization service in public hospitals of Tarapoto 2023

Abstract

The present study had as general objective "To determine the level of knowledge with the practice in the process of cleaning and disinfection of surgical instruments in nursing personnel, central sterilization service at Hospitals public of Tarapoto 2023". Regarding the methodology development, a method was hypothetical-deductive, regarding the approach it was quantitative, the type of research is applied, in terms of its research design it is non-experimental, because there is no manipulation of the variables; It is cross-sectional because it uses instruments for data collection, in addition, the study follows a correlational scope because it details the relationship between the study variables. The population was 54 people, the data collection instruments were 2 questionnaires that were validated, for the knowledge variable, it was made up of 13 questions with a nominal scale, providing a score of 2 for the correct question and 0 for the incorrect question. For the cleaning and disinfection practice variable, it consisted of 10 questions with a nominal scale of Yes and No. Finally, Spearman's Rho test will be used, which measures the relationship between two variables; statistical significance if the probability of being wrong is less than or equal to 5 percent (p≤0.05).

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo general “Determinar el nivel de conocimiento con la práctica en el proceso de limpieza y desinfección del instrumental quirúrgico en el personal de enfermería, servicio de central de esterilización en Hospitales públicos de Tarapoto, 2023”. En cuanto a la metodología desarrollara el método fue hipotético-deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, el tipo de investigación es aplicada, en cuanto a su diseño de investigación es no experimental, de corte transversal, de alcance correlacional. La población estará conformada por 54 personas, los instrumentos de recolección datos fueron 2 cuestionarios que fueron validados y pasaron con un análisis de confiabilidad, el cuestionario para la variable conocimiento estuvo conformado por conformado por 13 preguntas con escala nominal brindando una puntuación de 2 para la pregunta correcta y 0 para la pregunta incorrecta. Para la variable práctica de limpieza y desinfección estuvo conformado por 10 pregunta con escala nominal de Sí y NO. Finalmente se utilizará la prueba de Rho de Spearman que mide la relación entre dos variables; significación estadística si la probabilidad de equivocarse es menor o igual al 5 por ciento (p≤0.05).
