Psychosociocultural factors in mothers of children aged 1 to 2 years with psychomotor developmental risk

Abstract

The objective is to determine the psychosocial and cultural factors in mothers of children aged 1 to 2 years at risk of psychomotor development, attended in the growth and development clinic at the Infantas Health Center. The study is descriptive, consisting of 72 mothers. Results: Within the psychological factor, domestic violence has a high prevalence at 79.17%; in the social factor, mothers from the highlands represent 62.50%, cohabitants 48.61%, incomplete secondary education 62.50%, independent work 44.44%, grandparents in charge of grandchildren most of the time 81.11%, and belonging to a reconstituted family 68.08%, which are the dimensions with the highest percentages. Finally, within the cultural factor, lack of knowledge about stimulation is at 79.17%, failure to seek information about early stimulation 55.23%, non-attendance at growth and development check-ups 68.61%, and lack of participation of the father in stimulation activities 63.85%. Conclusions: The psychosocial and cultural factors with the highest prevalence are: psychological factor, primarily insults; social factor, with evidence of reconstituted families; and cultural factor, with mothers lacking knowledge about stimulation.

El objetivo es Determinar los factores psicosocioculturales en madres de niños de 1 a 2 años con riesgo en el desarrollo psicomotor atendidos en el consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo del Centro de Salud Infantas. El estudio es descriptivo, conformada por 72 madres Resultados: Dentro del factor psicológico donde la violencia familiar tiene un alto valor con un 79,17 %; en el factor social las madres procedentes de la sierra con un 62.50%, convivientes con un 48.61%, secundaria incompleta con un 62..50%, trabajo independiente con un 44.44%, los abuelos a cargo de los nietos la mayor parte del tiempo con un 81.11% y pertenecer a una familia reconstituida con un 68.08%, son las dimensiones con los porcentajes más altos. Finalmente, el factor cultural está el desconocimiento sobre estimulación con un 79.17%, no busca información sobre estimulación temprana con un 55.23%, no asiste a sus controles de Crecimiento y desarrollo con un 68.61%, y el padre no participa en la estimulación con un 63.85%. Conclusiones: Los factores psicosocioculturales que presentan mayor frecuencia son: factor psicológico donde priman los insultos, el factor social se evidencia el tipo de familia reconstituida y en el factor cultural, las madres no conocen sobre la estimulación.
