Level of information on surgical intervention and the degree of anxiety of the pre-surgical patient in the clinic novo q, lima 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of information about the surgical intervention and the degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021.

Methodology: The applied methodology was inductive, performing an analysis of the information gathered, with a quantitative approach. The research was basic, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and correlational. The population was considered finite, consisting of 250 individuals, and the sample was also 250 people, obtained through the application of a questionnaire. Non-probabilistic sampling was used, based on the researcher's discretion, casual or accidental.

Results: The p-value obtained was .000, indicating that the significance (sig.) is less than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. This means that a higher level of information about the surgical intervention correlates with a lower degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021. Furthermore, the Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient showed a result of .232, indicating a low positive relationship between the variables. This means that as one variable increases, the other increases, but to a lesser degree.

Conclusion: It was concluded that a higher level of information about the surgical intervention leads to a lower degree of anxiety in the pre-surgical patient at the Novo Q Clinic, Lima – 2021.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación del nivel de información sobre la intervención quirúrgica y el grado de ansiedad en el paciente pre – quirúrgico en la clínica Novo Q, Lima – 2021 la metodología aplicada fue de método inductivo realizando un análisis de la información lograda, enfoque cuantitativo, investigación de tipo básica, diseño no experimental, de corte transversal y correlacional la población fue considerada como finita, la cual estuvo conformada por 250 personas, la muestra queda conformada por 250 personas, a través de la aplicación del cuestionario. El muestreo fue no probabilístico a criterio del investigador, casual o accidental. Los resultados arrojaron que el p(valor) es de .000 lo que representa que el sig. es menor que 0,05, por tanto, se rechaza la hipótesis nula y se toma la hipótesis alterna, es decir, A mayor nivel de información sobre la intervención quirúrgica menor es el grado de ansiedad en el paciente pre – quirúrgico en la clínica Novo Q, Lima – 2021 Además, que el coeficiente de correlación de Rho de Spearman demuestra un resultado de .232 representando que hay una relación positiva baja entre las variables, lo que significa que a medida que una variable se incrementa en la misma medida la otra se incrementa en menor medida. Se concluyó que a mayor nivel de información sobre la intervención quirúrgica menor es el grado de ansiedad en el paciente pre – quirúrgico en la clínica Novo Q, Lima – 2021
