Emotional intelligence and use of social networks in adolescent students of fourth grade, Julio César Tello School N° 133, Lima 2022

Abstract

The title of this research is Emotional Intelligence and the Use of Social Networks in adolescent students of the fourth year of secondary school, Julio César Tello School N° 133, Lima 2022, the objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and the use of social networks. social in fourth-year high school students of the Julio César Tello school, Lima 2022. The study is the responsibility of a hypothetical deductive method, with a quantitative approach, it is an applied type of correlational level research, enunciates an observational, cross-sectional design. The study consisted of a population of 130 adolescents enrolled in the secondary level belonging to the fourth year of secondary school; for which the sample formula was applied and n = 98 participants were obtained. Two questionnaires were executed as instruments, the BarOn ICE Emotional Inventory instrument: NA in its entirety (60 items) and the Social Networks Addiction instrument through the survey technique; The first questionnaire corresponds to the variable emotional intelligence and the second questionnaire to the variable use of social networks. The process and their analysis were carried out in the SPSS version 25 program. The Spearman's Rho statistic was used, where the existence of a significance greater than 0.05 is revealed, which indicates that the null hypothesis is accepted and the alternative hypothesis is rejected, it is assumed that there is no significant relationship between both variables in high school students. fourth year of high school at the Julio César Tello school, 2022.

Objetivo: Esta investigación tiene por título Inteligencia Emocional y Uso de Redes Sociales en estudiantes adolescentes de cuarto de secundaria, Colegio Julio César Tello N° 133, Lima 2022, el objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la relación que existe entre inteligencia emocional y el uso de redes sociales en estudiantes de cuarto año de secundaria del colegio Julio César Tello, Lima 2022. El estudio compete a un método hipotético deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, es una investigación de tipo aplicada de nivel correlacional, enuncia un diseño observacional, de corte transversal. El estudio estuvo conformado por una población de 130 adolescentes matriculados en el nivel secundario pertenecientes al cuarto año de secundaria; para lo cual se aplicó la fórmula muestra y se obtuvo n = 98 participantes. Se procedió a ejecutar como instrumentos a dos cuestionarios, el instrumento Inventario Emocional BarOn ICE: NA de la forma completa (60 ítems) y el instrumento de Adicción a Redes Sociales a través de la técnica encuesta; el primer cuestionario corresponde a la variable inteligencia emocional y el segundo cuestionario a la variable uso de redes sociales. Se realizó el proceso y análisis de los mismos en el programa SPSS versión 25. Se utilizó el estadístico Rho de Spearman donde los resultados evidencian la existencia de una significancia superior a 0.05 lo que indica que se acepta la hipótesis nula y se rechaza la hipótesis alterna, se asume que no existe algún tipo de relación entre ambas variables en estudiantes de cuarto año de secundaria del colegio Julio César Tello N°133, Lima 2022.
