Stress and work performance in the health personnel of the emergency service in the Chancay hospital during the health emergency, 2022.

Abstract

Stress is identified in individuals regardless of profession or workplace; however, in the constant work of nursing professionals in the emergency area, it is experienced with greater intensity due to the high demand for care and associated stress factors. This is the main starting point for the proposal of the present study. Objective: To determine the relationship between stress and job performance among healthcare personnel in the emergency service at the Chancay Hospital during the health emergency. Methodology: The research will be quantitative, applied, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional. The population will consist of 50 nurses who meet the study criteria. Inclusion criteria are nurses working in the emergency service at the Chancay Hospital who will sign the informed consent; nurses who are on health leave or unwilling to answer the questionnaire will be excluded. The study technique will be the survey, and the instrument used will be a questionnaire. The instruments belong to Román, which has been validated by expert judgment and has a high reliability of 0.881 and 0.804 Cronbach’s Alpha, respectively, considering ethical aspects.

El estrés se identifica en las personas sin importar la profesión, el lugar de trabajo, sin embargo, en la constante labor del profesional de enfermería en el área de emergencia, se vive con mayor intensidad, debido a la alta demanda en la atención y, factores estresores asociados, ello es el principal punto de partida para la propuesta del presente estudio. Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el estrés y desempeño laboral en el personal de salud del servicio de emergencia en el Hospital de Chancay durante la emergencia sanitaria. Metodología: La investigación será cuantitativa, aplicada, correlacional, no experimental transversal. Asimismo, la población estará constituida por 50 enfermeras que cumplan con los criterios de estudio. Se consideraron, los aspectos de inclusión a las enfermeras que pertenecen al servicio de emergencia del Hospital de Chancay, que firmarán el consentimiento informado; se excluirán a las enfermeras que tienen licencia por salud y, que no se dispondrán a responder al cuestionario. La técnica del estudio será la encuesta y, el instrumento será el cuestionario. Los instrumentos pertenecen a Román, el mismo que posee validez por juicio de expertos y una confiabilidad alta de 0,881 y 0,804 Alfa de Cronbach respectivamente, considerándose los aspectos éticos.
