Relationship between organizational climate of health personnel and patient safety in the urology service of the national hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen, Lima, Peru, 2022

Abstract

The main objective of this study is “To determine the relationship between the organizational climate of health personnel and patient safety. The population and sample applied was 62 health professionals and 88 patients from the Urology service of the Guillermo Almenara National Hospital, Lima 2022. The study has a quantitative approach, applied type and descriptive observational design, two instruments will be applied: Climate evaluation organizational health personnel and patient safety management, both questionnaires were validated in our country by other authors, they are grouped into 5 and 6 dimensions and 42 - 24 items respectively. Coordination will be carried out with the research area by request, then the documents will be presented to the head of the Urology service, subsequently both instruments will be applied and they will be coded with Arabic numbers to achieve quality control; The data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, Spearman's Rho coefficient, which measures the degree of relationship between the study variables and verifying the proposed hypothesis. These analyzes will be carried out using the SPSS program.

El objetivo principal de este estudio es “Determinar la relación entre el clima organizacional del personal de salud y seguridad del paciente. La población y muestra aplicada fue 62 profesionales de la salud y 88 pacientes del servicio de Urología del Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara, Lima 2022. El estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada y diseño observacional descriptivo, se aplicarán dos instrumentos: Evaluación del clima organizacional del personal de salud y Gestión de seguridad el paciente, ambos cuestionarios fueron validados en nuestro país por otros autores, se agrupan en 5 y 6 dimensiones y 42 - 24 ítems respectivamente. Se realizará las coordinaciones con el área de investigación mediante solicitud, luego se presentará los documentos a la jefatura del servicio de Urología, posteriormente se aplicará ambos instrumentos y serán codificados con números arábigos para lograr el control de calidad; los datos conseguidos se analizarán mediante estadística descriptiva, el coeficiente de Rho de Spearman que mide el grado de relación entre las variables de estudio y comprobar la hipótesis planteada, estos análisis se realizará mediante el programa SPSS.
