Knowledge about basic first aid and attitudes in primary and secondary level teachers of the Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán Educational Institution - Lima 2023

Abstract

The objective of this research study was: "To determine how the knowledge about basic First Aid is related to the Attitudes in the teachers of the Primary and Secondary level of the Educational Institution Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán - Lima 2023". Methodology: Quantitative, Applied, Non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational descriptive made up of 82 teachers. Two instruments were used: Knowledge about basic First Aid and Attitudes in primary and secondary level teachers, validated by Díaz in Peru in the year 2022. In relation to age, on a larger scale between 41 to 60 years in a 41.7%, female sex in 58.3%. 95.2% graduates. Labor condition of Appointed in 90.5%. Results: In relation to the general objective, it was determined that there is Low knowledge with a negative attitude in 52.4%. In relation to the specific objectives, the following was identified: Dimension 1: general principles, medium knowledge with a negative attitude has been identified in 43.9. In dimension 2: airway clearance maneuver, medium knowledge with a negative and positive attitude was identified in 43.9%. In its dimension 3: cardiopulmonary resuscitation, medium knowledge with a negative attitude has been identified in 43.9%. In its dimension 4: wounds, medium knowledge with a positive attitude has been identified in 39%. In its dimension 5: hemorrhages, medium knowledge with a negative attitude has been identified in 29.3%. In its dimension 6: sprains, medium knowledge with a positive attitude has been identified in 34.1%. In its dimension 7: dislocations, medium knowledge with a positive attitude has been identified in 26.8%. In its dimension 8: fractures, medium knowledge with a positive attitude has been identified in 29.3%. In its dimension 9: seizures, medium knowledge with a negative attitude of 41.5% has been identified. Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge about basic first aid with the attitudes of teachers with an Alpha of Spearman's Rho of 0.004, which is less than 0.005.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo los Conocimientos sobre Primeros Auxilios básicos se relacionan con las Actitudes en los docentes de nivel Primaria y Secundaria de la Institución Educativa Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán - Lima 2023. Se utilizó un método hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, corte transversal, de alcance descriptivo correlacional, en una población de 82 docentes, a quienes se les aplicó dos instrumentos: cuestionarios que tenían como fin medir las variables de estudio. El resultado obtenido determinó que existe bajo conocimiento con actitud negativa en un 52,4%, relacionándose en un 98,8% por los que se concluye que se acepta la hipótesis alternativa general mediante el resultado de hipótesis del alfa en 0.004 el cual esta inferior al alfa 0.005, el cual refiere que si existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre los conocimientos sobre primeros auxilios básicos y las actitudes en los docentes de nivel Primaria y Secundaria de la Institución Educativa Juan Pablo Vizcardo y Guzmán – Lima 2023
