Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) mentions exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) as feeding the child only with breast milk for the first 6 months of life, without any other solid or liquid supplements. While the abandonment of exclusive breastfeeding is due to different reasons that include the social context, economic situation, biological and mental state of the mother, as well as the health system whose important role is the dissemination and creation of preventive policies to promote exclusive breastfeeding. Likewise, the factors are described as any element, circumstance and influence that an event has the possibility of occurring, causing and contributing to the abandonment of exclusive breastfeeding. Objective: Determine the factors associated with the abandonment of exclusive breastfeeding in hospitalized neonates in a Puente Piedra Hospital, 2020. Methodology: A quantitative approach study will be carried out and the methodological design of the research is longitudinally explanatory. The study population will be made up of 50 mothers of newborns hospitalized in a Puente Piedra Hospital to whom the Exclusive Breastfeeding Survey questionnaire will be applied as an instrument. The data obtained will be tabulated and statistically processed, applying the SPSS 26 statistical package and Excel.
Resumen
Introducción: La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) menciona como lactancia materna exclusiva (LME) a la alimentación del niño únicamente con leche materna los primeros 6 meses de vida, sin ningún otro suplemento sólido ni líquido. Mientras que El abandono de la lactancia materna exclusiva se debe a diferentes motivos que incluyen al contexto social, situación económica, estado biológico y mental de la madre, así como el sistema sanitario cuyo rol importante es la difusión y creación de políticas preventivas para promover la lactancia materna exclusiva. Asimismo los factores se describe como todo Elemento, circunstancia e influencia a que un hecho tenga la posibilidad de ocurrir, provocando y contribuyendo al abandono de la lactancia materna exclusiva, Objetivo: Determinar los Factores asociados al abandono de la lactancia materna exclusiva en neonatos hospitalizados en un Hospital de Puente Piedra, 2020. Metodología: Se realizará un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo y el diseño metodológico de la investigación es explicativo de corte longitudinal. La población del estudio estará conformada por 50 madres de neonatos hospitalizados en un Hospital de Puente piedra a las que se le aplicara como instrumento el cuestionario sobre Encuesta de Lactancia Materna Exclusiva. Los datos obtenidos serán tabulados y procesados estadísticamente, aplicando el paquete estadístico SPSS 26, y Excel.
