Knowledge and practices that nurses have in the care of patients with sedoanalgesia in the cardiovascular intensive care unit of the Hospital Dos de Mayo, Lima, 2021

Abstract

Currently, patient care falls mainly on nursing staff. For every nurse who works in intensive care units, sedoanalgesia is their basic pillar since the majority of critically ill patients require its use. Therefore, the main objective: Determine the knowledge and practices that nurses have in caring for patients with sedation in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit of the Dos de Mayo Hospital. The study material and method has a quantitative approach, a non-experimental design, and a descriptive level, because it allowed us to describe everything related to the variables, that is, the knowledge and practices that nurses have about the care of patients with sedation. The sample for the study will consist of 30 nurses. The present study has 2 data collection instruments, which are: The questionnaire: Its objective is to identify the knowledge that nurses have in caring for patients with sedation, according to pre-established items. Checklist: Its objective is to control compliance with a set of requirements and will serve to evaluate the nurse's practices in caring for the sedated patient, which consists of 3 parts before, during and after sedation.

En la actualidad, el cuidado del paciente recae principalmente en el personal de enfermería. Toda enfermera que trabaje en unidades de cuidados intensivos la sedoanalgesia es su pilar básico ya que la mayoría de pacientes críticos requiere su uso. Por lo tanto el objetivo principal: Determinar los conocimientos y prácticas que tienen las enfermeras en el cuidado al paciente con sedación en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Cardiovasculares del Hospital Dos de Mayo. El material y método de estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, de nivel descriptivo, porque permitió describir todo lo relacionado a las variables, es decir, los conocimientos y prácticas que tienen las enfermeras acerca del cuidado del paciente con sedación. La muestra para el estudio estará constituida por 30 enfermeras .El presente estudio tiene 2 instrumentos de recolección de datos, las cuales son: El cuestionario: Tiene como objetivo identificar los conocimientos que tienen las enfermeras en el cuidado al paciente con sedación, de acuerdo a ítems pre establecidos. Lista de chequeo: Tiene como objetivo controlar el cumplimiento de un conjunto de requisitos y servirá para evaluar las prácticas de la enfermera en el cuidado al paciente sedado lo cual consta de 3 partes antes durante y después de la sedación.
