Emergency obstetric psychoprophylaxis during labor in primigravida women without prenatal care at Hospital Cayetano Heredia

Abstract

The present clinical case is the application of Emergency Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis (EPO – EM) in a pregnant woman without preparation for Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis and without prenatal control, its application being essential to conclude with good results for the mother and her baby, during labor. labor, delivery and the puerperium. The intervention of the obstetrician in the preparation of Emergency Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis allowed for a favorable change in attitude and behavior in the pregnant woman, making this process a pleasant, healthy experience and, above all, contributing to reducing complications; such as fetal suffering due to poor respiratory technique, managing to improve the adequate oxygen supply to the baby, avoiding maternal exhaustion; applying the appropriate knowledge and techniques aimed at improving the physical and psychological state of the pregnant woman in the period of dilation, labor, delivery and subsequently postpartum care. This will achieve the goal of a birth without complications, with the well-being of the mother and her newborn together with the family environment.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación del índice de masa corporal pre-gestacional y complicaciones maternas y perinatales en gestantes atendidas en el Centro de Salud Surquillo- Lima, 2016. Diseño: Observacional, transversal, correlacional Participantes: 162 gestantes. Intervenciones: La técnica de recolección de datos fue la revisión documentaria, el instrumento fue una ficha de datos. Para la asociación se utilizó la prueba Chi-Cuadrado. Resultados: El índice de masa corporal pre gestacional promedio fue 25.5. El 56.8% de las gestantes tuvieron un índice de masa corporal pre gestacional normal, el 22,2% sobrepeso; el 17,3% obesidad y el 3,7% bajo peso. Las complicaciones obstétricas encontradas fueron: cesárea (38,9%); Infección del tracto urinario (32,5%); anemia (20,4%); pre eclampsia (7,4%); parto pre termino (6,8%); aborto (4,9%); diabetes (0,9%). Las complicaciones perinatales encontradas fueron: macrosomía (12,3%); bajo peso al nacer (7,4%); asfixia (3,1%) y muerte perinatal (1,2%).

Conclusiones: Existe asociación estadísticamente significativa entre: Pre eclampsia y obesidad, aborto y gestantes obesas, obesidad y parto por cesárea, obesidad y muerte perinatal.
