Adherence to treatment and quality of life in hypertensive persons attending a primary health care facility in Chorrillos, 2023

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of the study is to determine how adherence to treatment is related to the quality of life in hypertensive people who attend a primary health care establishment in Chorrillos, 2023. Materials and methods: The quantitative approach and the correlational design were assumed. There was a sample of 116 patients with AHT, the technique used for data collection was the survey. The Morisky Green test and the MINICHAL were used as measurement instruments. Results: In the research hypothesis, there is a significant relationship between adherence to treatment and quality of life (p<0.05). In the specific hypotheses, a significant relationship was found in both cases (p<0.05). Conclusions: A significant link was found between the main variables.

Objetivo: El propósito del estudio es determinar cómo la adherencia al tratamiento se relaciona con la calidad de vida en personas hipertensas que acuden a un establecimiento de atención primaria en salud en Chorrillos, 2023. Materiales y métodos: Se asumió el enfoque cuantitativo y el diseño correlacional. Se contó con una muestra de 116 pacientes con HTA, la técnica utilizada para la recolección de datos fue la encuesta. Se empleó como instrumentos de medida test de Morisky Green y el MINICHAL. Resultados: En la hipótesis de investigación existe relación significativa entre adherencia al tratamiento y calidad de vida (p<0,05). En las hipótesis específicas, en ambos casos se halló relación significativa (p<0,05). Conclusiones: Se encontró vinculo significativa entre las variables principales.
