Knowledge and practice of biosafety measures in the sterilization center of the Regional Hospital of Ayacucho Miguel Angel Mariscal Llerena, 2022

Abstract

The mission that nursing professionals fulfill within the health sector is of great relevance due to the humanized care they provide to patients, an essential aspect given its impact on the well-being and life of human beings. However, it has been detected that the nurses who work within the sterilization center have a series of deficiencies in the knowledge and practice of biosafety measures, a situation that exposes them to the danger of acquiring some type of nosocomial infection, putting them at risk. risk to both the professionals who work there and the patients. OBJECTIVE: to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of biosafety measures in the Sterilization Center of the Miguel Angel Mariscal Llerena Regional Hospital of Ayacucho, 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS: a quantitative, basic, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional study will be carried out. not experimental. 90 nurses will participate. The survey was used with its instrument the questionnaire to measure each of the variables subject to investigation.

La misión que cumplen los profesionales de enfermería dentro del sector salud encierra una gran relevancia, por los cuidados humanizados que brindan a los pacientes, aspecto esencial dada su incidencia en el bienestar y la vida del ser humano. Sin embargo, se ha podido detectar que los enfermeros que laboran dentro de la central de esterilización presentan una serie de deficiencias en el conocimiento y la práctica de medidas de bioseguridad, situación que los expone al peligro de adquirir algún tipo de infección nosocomial, poniendo en riesgo tanto a los profesionales que ahí laboran como a los pacientes. OBJETIVO: determinar cuál es la relación entre conocimiento y práctica de medidas de bioseguridad en la Central de Esterilización del Hospital Regional de Ayacucho Miguel Angel Mariscal Llerena, 2022. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: se realizará un estudio cuantitativo, básico, descriptivo-correlacional, transversal, no experimental. Participarán 90 enfermeros. Se utilizó la encuesta con su instrumento el cuestionario para medir cada una de las variables sujetas a investigación.
