Work overload and coping with stress in secondary caregivers of patients with severe mental disorder in protected homes in Lima, 2024

Abstract

Objective. To determine the relation between overloading and cope of stress in caregivers of patients on severe mental disorder in Protected Homes of Lima. Methodology. This study would be being of a quantitating approaching, of an applied type, and of a non-experimental, description, and correlational designing. The representative sample of the study will be made up of 83 caregivers who provide service in sheltered homes located in the Lima Metropolitan Region. Obtained according to applicate on non-probabilistic formula. The information collection technique, the survey would be applying, execute on a singles moment, using the instruments called the Zarit scale and the stress coping questionnaire (CAE), for the variables overload and coping with stress. Regarded on treatment of data obtained, it would be carrying out by means of Excel for its organization and corresponding qualitative control; then it would be being exported to the SPSS software version 29.0 to executing statistical calculations, and developing table and graph to analyzing this explored variable.

Objetivo. Determinar cómo se relaciona la sobrecarga laboral y el afrontamiento del estrés en cuidadores secundarios de individuos con trastorno mental atendidos en Hogares Protegidos de Lima. Metodología. La exploración se enmarcará al enfoque cuantitativo, en cuanto al tipo será la aplicada, y con diseño correlacional, descriptivo y no experimental. Respecto de la muestra se conformará por 83 cuidadores que prestan servicio en los hogares protegidos ubicados en la Región Lima Metropolitana, obtenida de por medio de la fórmula de muestra probabilística. La técnica para relevar data corresponderá a la encuesta, mediante herramientas denominadas escala de Zarit y cuestionario de afrontamiento del estrés (CAE), para las variables sobrecarga laboral y afrontamiento del estrés respectivamente. El tratamiento de la data obtenida se efectuará aplicando el software Excel para organizar y controlar adecuadamente la calidad de esta; para posteriormente ser exportada al programa SPSS versión 29.0 a efecto de calcular los datos estadísticos respectivos, y así preparar cuadros y gráficos que permitan valorar las variables exploradas.
