Nutritional status and psychomotor development of boys and girls from 2 to 3 years, health post in Lima 2022

Abstract

Malnutrition is a widespread problem that impacts the health of children in the world. Said impact can be evidenced in the various spheres of its development such as coordination, motor language. Objective: to determine the relationship between nutritional status and psychomotor development in children from 2 to 3 years old, health post in Lima 2022. As for the Materials: quantitative approach, hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population will be made up of mothers of children two to three of age cared for at the Health post in Lima. According to the nominal register of the health establishment, the population of children two to three year of age is 46 with their respective mothers. The sample will be census. The evaluation of the nutritional status will be carried out based on the growth tables of the WHO, including obesity, overweight, low weight and short stature. For the evaluation of nutritional status, we rely on the anthropometric assessment tables of the WHO published in 2006, which requires three data for the location in the respective standard deviation. The psychomotor development test, called TEPSI by its acronym, was developed by Haeussler M. and Marchant T. Said test evaluates the development in 3 areas: Coordination, language and Motricity, through the observation of various child behaviors, regarding actions proposed by the evaluator. Your application is individual; it can be applied in children from 2 to 5 years old.

La desnutrición es un problema muy extendido que impacta en la salud de los niños en el mundo. Dicho impacto se puede evidenciar en las diversas esferas de su desarrollo como coordinación, lenguaje motricidad. Objetivo: determinar la relación entre el estado nutricional y desarrollo psicomotor en niños y niñas de 2 a 3 años, puesto de salud en Lima 2022. En cuanto a los materiales: enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. La población estará integrada por madres con niños de 2 a 3 años atendidos en el puesto de Salud en Lima. Según padrón nominal, son 46 niños. La muestra será censal. La evaluación del estado nutricional será realizada basada en tablas de crecimiento de la OMS, incluyen obesidad, sobrepeso, bajo peso y baja estatura, el cual requiere de tres datos para la ubicación en la respectiva desviación estándar. El test de desarrollo psicomotor, fue elaborado por Haeussler M. y Marchant T. Dicho test, analiza el desarrollo en 3 áreas: Coordinación, lenguaje y Motricidad, a través de la observación de diversas conductas del niño, respecto a acciones propuestas por el evaluador, se aplica en niños de 2 a 5 años.
