Level of knowledge on prevention of iron deficiency anemia and mothers' practice in children from 6 to 36 months of age in Lima, 2023

Abstract

This research aims to: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about prevention of iron deficiency anemia and the practice of mothers in children from 6 to 36 months of a health center. The methodology: hypothetical deductive method, nonexperimental design, quantitative approach, descriptive, applied, correlational, cross-sectional; The sample will consist of 80 mothers of families with children from 6 to 36 months of age. The sample will be census, which carry out their growth and development control in a health center in Lima. The instruments that will be used for the research work will be the level of knowledge questionnaire that will be measured and the practical questionnaire on anemia prevention, both instruments having a high level of reliability. In the first questionnaire to evaluate the level of knowledge, a α = 0.895 >0.80, considered good for its application, in the second questionnaire for the evaluation of anemia prevention practices, an α = 0.867 >0.80 was obtained, which is good for its application, determining that both questionnaires were applied in the investigation, For the collection of information, it will last approximately 30 minutes, for each participant, for the analysis and interpretation, tables, graphs will be used.

Esta investigación tiene como Objetivo: Determinar la relación existente entre nivel de conocimiento sobre prevención de la anemia ferropénica y la práctica de las madres en niños de 6 a 36 meses de edad de un centro de salud. La metodología: método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental, de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, aplicada, correlacional, de corte transversal; la muestra estará constituida por 80 madres de familia con niños de 6 a 36 meses de edad la muestra será censal los cuales llevan su control de crecimiento y desarrollo en un centro de salud de lima. los instrumentos que se utilizaran para el trabajo de investigación serán el cuestionario de nivel de conocimiento que medirán y el cuestionario prácticas sobre prevención de anemia ambos instrumentos teniendo un alto nivel de confiabilidad, en el primer cuestionario para evaluar el nivel de conocimiento de se obtuvo un α = 0.895 >0.80 considerándose bueno para su aplicación, en el segundo cuestionario para la evaluación de las prácticas sobre prevención de anemia, se obtuvo un α = 0.867 >0.80 que es bueno para su aplicación, determinando que ambos cuestionario aplicación en la investigación, para la recolección de la información se tendrá una duración aproximada de 30 minutos, para cada participante, para el análisis e interpretación se harán uso de tablas, gráficos.
