Cellular descriptors and cytologic malignancy criteria using digital imaging in blood-infiltrating lymphomas in a private institution - 2021

Abstract

Scientific research consists of relating the cellular descriptors and the criteria of cytological malignancy with the purpose of contributing to the support of the diagnosis of malignant neoplasms in an objective manner where each region of cellular interest is quantified that allows differentiating various types of lymphoma cells that infiltrate peripheral blood, from digital images classified by the expert as cells belonging to a lymphoma, leading to determining a relationship between the objective value (descriptors) versus the subjective values ​​(malignancy criteria).

La investigación científica consiste en relacionar los descriptores celulares y los criterios de malignidad citológica con la finalidad de contribuir el apoyo al diagnóstico de las neoplasias malignas de forma objetiva donde se cuantifica cada región de interés celular que permite diferenciar diversos tipo de células de linfomas que infiltran sangre periférica, a partir de imágenes digitales calificadas por el experto como células pertenecientes a un linfoma, llevando a determinar una relación entre el valor objetivo (descriptores) frente a los valores subjetivos (criterios de malignidad).
