Quality of nursing care and level of satisfaction of the relatives of the critical patient in the intensive care unit in a hospital in Lima Norte 2022.

Abstract

Intensive care units (ICUs) were not simply designed to treat the most critically ill patients, but those for whom survival was possible, though not certain. During their stay in the ICU, patients experience a variety of physical and psychological stressors, which can lead to psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Objective: To determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the level of satisfaction of the relatives of critically ill ICU patients at a hospital in northern Lima, 2022. Material and method: The approach will be quantitative, with a non-experimental, descriptive correlational design and a cross-sectional cut. The population will consist of 50 relatives of patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit. To measure the quality of nursing care, a questionnaire developed by Viviano, with appropriate validity (p=0.0212) and reliability (0.875, measured by Cronbach's alpha), will be used. The same applies to satisfaction, with a validity of 0.975 and reliability of 0.98. The instruments will be administered in person, after obtaining informed consent.

Las unidades de cuidados intensivos (UCI) no se diseñaron simplemente para atender a los pacientes más gravemente enfermos, sino a aquellos para quienes la supervivencia era posible, pero no segura. Durante el ingreso en la UCI, los pacientes experimentan una variedad de factores estresantes físicos y psicológicos, que pueden provocar trastornos psicológicos como ansiedad, depresión y trastorno de estrés postraumático. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la calidad del cuidado de enfermería y el nivel de satisfacción de los familiares del paciente crítico de UCI en un hospital de Lima norte 2022. Material y método: El enfoque será de tipo cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, tipo descriptivo correlacional y de corte transversal. la población estará constituida por 50 familiares de pacientes hospitalizados en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Por ello, para medir la calidad del cuidado enfermero se aplicará un cuestionario elaborado por Viviano, de validez adecuada, con un valor de p=0,0212 y una confiabilidad de 0.875 medida por Alfa de Crombach. Lo mismo ocurrió con la satisfacción, ya que se obtuvo una validez de 0.975 y la confiabilidad fue del 0.98 los instrumentos serán administrados de manera presencial, previa administración del consentimiento informado.
