Knowledge and attitudes of nursing staff regarding the sterilization process of surgical equipment at the sterilization center of the José Casimiro Ulloa emergency hospital, Lima 2022

Abstract

This work determines the relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of the nursing staff about the sterilization process of surgical material in the sterilization center of the Emergency Hospital José Casimiro Ulloa, Lima 2022, being its main objective, also identifying the relationship between the dimension of cleaning, sterilization and disinfection of surgical materials in the sterilization center of the Emergency Hospital José Casimiro Ulloa. This study is carried out under the modality of the quantitative approach, the method is hypothetical deductive using reason or deduction. It is applied, with a descriptive, cross-sectional and observational design. The population is finite and the unit of analysis is 25 nursing technicians of the sterilization center. The survey will be used as a technique for data collection, through a questionnaire and the attitude scale validated by Rojas in 2022, using as validity the expert judgment, the validation of the two variables was 82.54%, being positive its statistical level, the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient obtained 0.7 and its statistical result is 0.9, validating as good such instrument.

Este trabajo determina la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y las actitudes del personal de enfermería sobre el proceso de esterilización del material quirúrgico en la central de esterilización del Hospital de Emergencias José Casimiro Ulloa, Lima 2022, siendo su objetivo principal, además identificando la relación entre la dimensión limpieza, esterilización y desinfección de los materiales quirúrgicos en la central de esterilización del Hospital de Emergencias José Casimiro Ulloa. Este estudio se realiza bajo la modalidad del enfoque cuantitativo, el método es hipotético deductivo utilizando la razón o deducción. Es aplicada, con un nivel descriptivo, transversal y un diseño observacional. La población es finita y la unidad de análisis son 25 técnicos de enfermería de la central de esterilización. Se utilizará la encuesta como técnica para la recolección de datos, a través de un cuestionario y la escala de actitudes validado por Rojas en el 2022, empleando como validez el juicio de experto la validación de las dos variables fue de 82,54%, siendo positivo su nivel estadístico, se obtuvo en el coeficiente de Alfa de Cronbach obtuvo 0,7 y estadístico su resultado es de obteniendo como resultado 0,9, validando como bueno tal instrumento
