Knowledge and practice on exclusive breastfeeding of mothers of children under 6 months of age who attend hospital Huaraz 2023

Abstract

The objective of the study is to determine the relationship between Knowledge and practice on exclusive breastfeeding of mothers of children under 6 months of age who attend the Hospital II EsSalud Huaraz - Lima 2023. The Methodology The approach will be quantitative, design No experimental, descriptive correlational and cross-sectional type. The population will be made up of 100 mothers who attend the Hospital EsSalud Huaraz and To measure the knowledge level variable, the questionnaire that calculates the knowledge of mothers about breastfeeding, prepared by Barboza, with a validity of p 0.00352 and a reliability of 0.796 measured by Crombach's alpha. For the evaluation of the praxis, it will be through observation, a checklist will be applied. The instrument and the checklist will be completed in person, before the informed consent. A descriptive and correlational statistical analysis will be carried out through the normality test that determines the statistical test to be used. Likewise, the data that is collected will be emptied into an Excel 2021 table and processed in the SPSS statistic in order to carry out the descriptive statistics, which will be presented in tables and figures, and the inferential statistics that will allow the contrasting of hypotheses to determine if there is a relationship between the study variables.

Objetivo Determinar la relación que existe entre Conocimiento y la práctica sobre la lactancia materna exclusiva de madres de niños menores de 6 meses que acuden al Hospital II EsSalud Huaraz – Lima 2023. Metodología El enfoque será de tipo cuantitativo, diseño No experimental, tipo descriptivo correlacional y de corte transversal. La población estará constituida por 100 madres que asisten al Hospital EsSalud Huaraz y Para medir la variable del nivel conocimiento se utilizará el cuestionario que calcula el conocimiento de las madres sobre lactancia materna, elaborado por Barboza, de validez p 0.00352 y confiabilidad de 0,796 medida por Alfa de Crombach. Para la evaluación de la praxis, será mediante la observación, se aplicará una lista de cotejo. El instrumento y la lista de cotejo serán consumados de manera presencial, antes del consentimiento informado. Se realizará un análisis estadístico descriptivo y correlacional a través de la prueba de normalidad que determina la prueba estadística a utilizar. Una vez completada los instrumentos, los datos se recopilarán, codificarán y almacenarán en una base de datos para análisis estadístico utilizando el programa Spss 25.0. Este análisis implicará técnicas tanto descriptivas como inferenciales, incluida la prueba de Spearman, para comprobar las hipótesis planteadas.
