Knowledge and response capacity of nursing staff before an earthquake at the José Casimiro Ulloa emergency hospital, Lima 2022

Abstract

The main objective of this research is "to determine the relationship between knowledge and response capacity of nursing staff in the event of an earthquake at the José Casimiro Ulloa emergency hospital, Lima 2022". The methodology was developed through the quantitative method, a type of basic research, correlational level, non-experimental cross-sectional design, with a sample of 216 members of the nursing staff, whose sample was determined through a simple probabilistic sample, the The data collection technique used was the survey and the instrument applied was the questionnaire, for variable 1; knowledge of the earthquake and for variable 2; earthquake response capacity, the data analysis was developed through the inferential method and hypothesis testing.

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo principal “determinar la relación entre conocimiento y capacidad de respuesta del personal de enfermería ante un sismo en el hospital de emergencias José Casimiro Ulloa, Lima 2022”. La metodología fue desarrollada a través del método cuantitativo, un tipo de investigación aplicada, nivel correlacional, diseño no experimental de corte trasversal, con una muestra de 216 integrantes del personal de enfermería, cuya muestra fue determinada a través de un muestreo probabilístico simple, la técnica de recolección de datos utilizada fue la encuesta y el instrumento aplicado fue el cuestionario, para la variable 1; conocimiento del sismo y para la variable 2; capacidad de respuesta ante sismo, el análisis de datos fue desarrollado a través del método inferencial y de comprobación de hipótesis.
