Introduction: The global situation of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is cause for concern, therefore, organizations such as the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization have issued warnings about its exponential growth. In the specific case of Peru, there is also an increasing number of people affected by this disease. Objective: to determine how family functionality is related to quality of life in patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Method: the deductive method will be used and it has a quantitative approach, the scope will be correlational, the design will be non-experimental with a transectional cut; likewise, the population will be 50 patients suffering from kidney disease, also using a census sample that will include all individuals in the population. For purposes of collecting information and data, two questionnaires based on the Likert scale will be used; In this sense, the first questionnaire evaluated the family functionality variable and its respective dimensions; Likewise, the second questionnaire, called SF-36, measured the quality of life and its respective dimensions. Thus, the two instruments proved to be reliable and valid, with values of 0.811 and 0.860, respectively. In addition, the schedule of activities and the budget were prepared in order to guarantee the optimal development of the research project.
Resumen
Introducción: La situación mundial de enfermedad renal crónica (ERC) es motivo de preocupación, así pues, organizaciones como la Organización Panamericana de la Salud y la Organización Mundial de la Salud han emitido advertencias sobre su crecimiento exponencial. En el caso específico de Perú, también se van registrando cada vez más un elevado número de personas afectadas por esta enfermedad. Objetivo: Determinar cómo la funcionalidad familiar se relaciona con la calidad de vida en pacientes con tratamiento de hemodiálisis. Método: se utilizará el método deductivo y tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, el alcance será correlacional, el diseño será no experimental con corte transeccional; así mismo, la población será de 50 pacientes que padecen enfermedad renal, utilizando, además, un muestreo censal que incluirá a todos individuos de la población. Para propósitos de recopilar la información y los datos, se emplearán dos cuestionarios basados en la escala de Likert; en ese sentido, el primer cuestionario evaluó la variable funcionalidad familiar y sus respectivas dimensiones; así mismo, el segundo cuestionario, denominado SF-36, midió la calidad de vida y a sus respectivas dimensiones. Así pues, los dos instrumentos demostraron tener confiabilidad y validez, con valores de 0.811y0.860, respectivamente. Además, se elaboró el cronograma de actividades y el presupuesto
