Risk factors associated with pressure injuries in ICU patients of the regional hospital of Ica 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Pressure ulcers are lesions that appear mostly in those patients who spend a long time on a smooth surface, causing circulation to be cut off in that area of the body, in the intensive care unit in recent years, pressure ulcers are very frequent in bedridden patients. Objective: determine the risk factors associated with pressure injuries in ICU patients of the Regional Hospital of Ica 2023. Methods: Application, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional study. The census sample will consist of 40 patients from the ICU service of the Regional Hospital of Ica. Observation will be used with a checklist for both variables, which were adapted by Villamares for the target population, are validated and are reliable to measure the variables in question. The collected data will be processed in SPSS Vs 25 and the hypothesis will be tested using the Spearman correlation coefficient test given the nature of the variables that are qualitative.

Introducción: Las úlceras por presión son lesiones que aparecen mayormente en aquellos pacientes que están mucho tiempo sobre una superficie lisa haciendo que la circulación se corte en esa zona del cuerpo, en la unidad de cuidados intensivos en los últimos años las UPP son muy frecuentes en los pacientes postrados. Objetivo: Determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a las lesiones por presión en paciente de UCI del Hospital Regional de Ica 2023. Métodos: Estudio de tipo aplicativo, cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal. La muestra censal estará constituida por 40 pacientes del servicio de UCI del Hospital Regional de Ica. Se usará la observación con una lista de cotejo para ambas variables los cuales fueron adaptado por Villamares para la población objetivo, están validados y son confiables para medir las variables en cuestión. Los datos recolectados serán procesador en SPSS Vs 25 y la hipótesis se probará usando la prueba de coeficiente de correlación de Spearman dado la naturaleza de las variables que son cualitativas.
