Nursing care and anxiety of patients undergoing surgery in the minor surgery service, public hospital, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Nursing care plays an important role in the face of the patient who is in the preoperative stage, given that surgical interventions directly affect their emotional state, which is why they have presented a problem called preoperative anxiety, therefore, it is the preoperative preparation provided by the nursing staff is of importance. Objective: To determine the relationship between nursing care and the anxiety of patients undergoing surgery in the minor surgery service, public hospital, 2023. Method: The hypothetical deductive method will be used, with a quantitative approach and a correlational, cross-sectional design. The sample will be made up of 136 patients undergoing surgery in the Minor Surgery Service of a Public Hospital. For data collection, the survey technique will be used, employing two instruments, Quality of Nursing Care, applied by Meza and Zung's Anxiety Scale, applied by Delgadillo, both with a reliability of Cronbach's alpha of 0.70 and 0.882. For the analysis process, SPSS 26.0 and descriptive and inferential statistics will be used, where the findings will be presented in tables and figures according to the proposed objectives.

Introducción: El cuidado brindado por la enfermera tiene un rol importante frente al paciente que se encuentra en el periodo preoperatoria, dado que las intervenciones quirúrgicas afectan de forma directa su estado emocional, por lo que han presentado una problemática denominada ansiedad preoperatoria, por lo tanto, reviste de importancia la preparación preoperatoria brindada por el enfermero. Objetivo: Determinar la relación del cuidado de enfermería y la ansiedad de pacientes sometidos a intervención quirúrgica en el servicio de cirugía menor, hospital público, 2023. Método: Empleara el método hipotético deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño correlacional, de corte transversal. La muestra estará conformada por 136 pacientes sometidos a intervención quirúrgica en el Servicio de Cirugía Menor de un Hospital Público. Para la recolección de datos se usará la técnica de la encuesta, empleando dos instrumentos, Calidad de Cuidado de Enfermería, aplicado por Meza y Escala de Ansiedad de Zung, aplicado por Delgadillo, ambos con una confiabilidad de alfa de Cronbach de 0.70 y 0.882. Para el proceso de análisis se utilizará el SPSS 26.0 y la estadística descriptiva e inferencial donde los hallazgos serán presentados en tablas y figuras acorde a los objetivos planteados
