Abstract

The benefits of breast milk on the health of premature newborns is widely known and the administration of human milk to infants as an ideal food over any other is of great clinical and social relevance. The protective effect against necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) has been very well studied, but it was necessary to compare different doses of breast milk as a protective effect. The present secondary research titled as a critical review: Protective effect of breast milk in premature newborns, aimed to evaluate the protective effect of breast milk in premature newborns. The clinical question was: What is the protective effect of breast milk in premature newborns? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in PUBMED, SCIENCE DIRECT, COCHRANE, finding 128 articles, 25 being selected that have been evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the meta-analysis titled Protective effects of different doses of human milk on neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis . Which has a level of evidence A II and a strong Degree of Recommendation, according to the expertise of the researcher. The critical comment allowed us to conclude that breast milk exerts a protective effect against necrotizing enterocolitis at any dose, even more so if it is exclusive breast milk.

La presente investigación secundaria titulada como revisión crítica: valor predictivo del índice pronóstico nutricional en pacientes con cáncer gástrico tuvo como objetivo determinar el valor predictivo del índice de pronóstico nutricional en la supervivencia del paciente con cáncer gástrico. La pregunta clínica fue: ¿El valor predictivo del índice de pronóstico nutricional mejorará la supervivencia del paciente adulto y adulto mayor con cáncer gástrico? Se utilizó la metodología Nutrición Basada en Evidencia (NuBE). La búsqueda de información se realizó en Science Direct, PubMed, HINARI, Lilacs, Scielo, Dialnet, Redal encontrando 60 artículos, siendo seleccionados 11 que han sido evaluados por la herramienta para lectura crítica CASPe, seleccionándose finalmente la revisión sistemática titulada como Prognostic Nutritional Index Predicts Outcomes of Patients after Gastrectomy for Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Nonrandomized Studies el cual posee un nivel de evidencia AI y grado de recomendación fuerte, de acuerdo a la expertise del investigador. El comentario crítico permitió concluir que el índice de pronóstico nutricional mejora la supervivencia general del paciente con cáncer gástrico, sin embargo, teniendo en cuentas los sesgos expuestos, se debe estar atento a los datos analizados.
