Knowledge and attitude of mothers in the care of premature newborns, neonatology service, national hospital, Lima 2023

Abstract

Introduction: The care of the premature newborn is a critical and very complex issue for mothers, since babies have special needs and face health risks and complications; It is also important to highlight that the experiences and attitudes are different, so it is necessary to provide them with an environment of accurate information, with adequate and essential resources to face the challenges that are needed for the care of newborns. Objective: Determine the relationship between the knowledge and attitude of mothers in the care of premature newborns - Neonatología, Hospital Nacional, Lima - 2023. Methodology: The research has a quantitative study approach, of an applied type, of an observational, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design; made up of a sample of 86 participants. The data collection technique will be the survey; the data collection instruments are two questionnaires, the first has 20 items, which has 5 dimensions; and the second has 15 questions, distributed in 3 dimensions. Conclusions: These will be presented based on descriptive statistics, in frequency and percentage tables. For the relationship of the variables, inferential statistics are used to verify the proposed hypothesis. Finally, it will be taken into account to establish the relationship of the variables, based on the verification of the proposed hypothesis.

Introducción: El cuidado del recién nacido prematuro es un tema crítico y muy complejo para las madres, ya que los bebes tienen necesidades especiales y se enfrentan a riesgos y complicaciones de la salud; asimismo es importantes desatacar que las experiencias y actitudes son distintas, por lo que es necesario proporcionarles un ambiente de información precisa, con recursos adecuados y esenciales para enfrentar los desafíos que se necesiten para el cuidado de los recién nacidos. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la actitud de las madres en el cuidado del recién nacido prematuro - Neonatología, Hospital Nacional, Lima - 2023.Metodología: La investigación cuenta con un enfoque de estudio cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado, de diseño observacional, no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal; conformada por una muestra de 86 participantes. La técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta; los instrumentos de recolección de datos son dos cuestionarios, el primero cuenta con 20 ítems, la cual cuenta con 5 dimensiones; y el segundo cuenta con 15 interrogantes, distribuidas en 3 dimensiones. Conclusiones: Estos serán presentados en base a la estadística descriptiva, en tablas de frecuencia y porcentaje. Para la relación de las variables se utiliza la estadística inferencial, para comprobar la hipótesis planteada. Finalmente se tendrá en cuanta establecer la relación de las variables, en base a la comprobación de la hipótesis planteada.
