Level of knowledge and quality of immediate care of the healthy newborn of the nursing professionals of the neonatology service of the National Hospital of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima 2023

Abstract

The present research project will have as general objective: To determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and the quality of immediate care of the healthy newborn of the nursing professionals of the Neonatology service of the national hospital of San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima 2023. The study population will be made up of 50 nurses (100%) who work in the neonatology service. The study method used is hypothetical deductive of the applied type of non-experimental cross-sectional design. For the collection of data, the survey will be used as a technique; as instruments the "Knowledge Questionnaire about immediate newborn care", by means of reliability analysis using Kuder Richardson's K -R 20 coefficient, reaching a reliability value of 0.89, and the "Scale to assess the quality of care of nursing to the newborn in the adaptation period", of the Likert type, a score of 0.648 was obtained in the internal consistency index Cronbach's Alpha, which indicates that the instrument is reliable. In turn, the relevant statistical tests will be applied to confirm the hypotheses. For the processing and subsequent analysis of the data obtained in the study, the latest version of the SSPS Statistic program and the Microsoft Excel software will be used to present the statistical tables.

El presente proyecto de investigación tendrá como objetivo general: Determinar la relación que existe entre nivel de conocimientos y la calidad de atención inmediata del recién nacido sano de los profesionales de enfermería del servicio de Neonatología del hospital nacional de San Juan de Lurigancho, lima 2023. La población objeto del estudio estará conformada por 50 enfermeras(os) (100%) que laboran en el servicio de neonatología. El método de estudio empleado es hipotético deductivo de tipo aplicada de diseño no experimental de corte transversal. Para la recopilación de los datos se utilizará como técnica la encuesta; como instrumentos el “Cuestionario de conocimientos sobre cuidados inmediatos del recién nacido“, por mediante del análisis de confiabilidad utilizando el coeficiente K -R 20 de Kuder Richardson, alcanzando un valor de confiabilidad de 0.89, y la “Escala para evaluar la calidad del cuidado de enfermería al recién nacido en el periodo de adaptación“, de tipo Likert se obtuvo una puntuación de 0,648 en el índice de consistencia interna Alfa de Cronbach, lo que indica que el instrumento es fiable. A su vez se aplicarán las pruebas estadísticas pertinentes para confirmar las hipótesis. Para el procesamiento y posterior análisis de los datos obtenidos en el estudio se utilizará el programa SSPS Statistic en su última versión y el software Microsoft Excel para la presentación de los cuadros estadísticos.
