Level of knowledge and attitude about biosafety measures in the workers of the Cruz de Motupe Health Center - SJL- 2022

Abstract

Objective: Establish the relationship between knowledge about biosafety and attitude of the workers at the Cruz de Motupe-SJL 2022 health center. Material and methods: it is an applied research, a deductive method with a quantitative approach and non-experimental design was used. with a sample of 80 workers from the Cruz de Motupe-SJL health center. For data collection, a questionnaire was used to measure the level of knowledge about biosafety measures prepared by Mariela Loaiza Álvarez and another to measure the attitude that refers to a Likert-type scale, prepared by the same author, with five propositions with a measurement scale: high, medium and low. Results: 50.00% have a medium level of knowledge about biosafety, followed by 28.75% with a low level; while in attitude there was a favorable level of 87.50% followed by an unfavorable level of 12.50%, regarding the study hypothesis it was possible to know the existence of a Spearman's Rho coefficient of .789, that is to say that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitude regarding biosafety measures in workers at the Cruz de Motupe-SJL 2022 Health Center.

Objetivo: Establecer la relación entre conocimiento sobre bioseguridad y actitud de los trabajadores del centro de salud Cruz de Motupe-SJL 2022. Material y métodos: es una investigación de tipo aplicada, se usó un método deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo y de diseño no experimental, con una muestra de 80 trabadores del centro de salud Cruz de Motupe-SJL. Para la recolección de datos se usó un cuestionario para medir el nivel de conocimiento sobre medidas de bioseguridad elaborado por Mariela Loaiza Álvarez y otro para medir la actitud que se refiere a una escala tipo Likert, elaborado por la misma autora, con cinco proposiciones con una escala de medición: alto, medio y bajo. Resultados: el 50.00% presenta un nivel medio de conocimientos sobre bioseguridad, seguido de un 28.75% con un nivel bajo; mientras que en actitud se presentó un nivel favorable de 87.50% seguido de un nivel desfavorable de 12.50%, en cuanto a la hipótesis de estudio se pudo conocer la existencia de un coeficiente de Rho de Spearman de ,789, es decir que sí hay relación entre el conocimiento y la actitud sobre las medidas de bioseguridad en los trabajadores del Centro de Salud Cruz de Motupe-SJL 2022.
