Knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and practice in adolescent mothers from the rooming-in service of a public hospital in Lima-2023

Abstract

Human milk is a food with a high nutritional value and is perfect for infants, particularly due to its multiple properties since it guarantees adequate growth and development, and also allows for maintaining a bond with the mother. On the other hand, 45% of child deaths are related to malnutrition at an objective global level. “To determine how the level of knowledge of adolescent mothers is related to the breastfeeding practices of the rooming-in service”, in this research the method to be used will be hypothetical deductive, with a non-experimental, correlational and transversal design. 90 teenage mothers will participate in this study, in addition, the instrument will be applied to them during their stay in the shared accommodation service of the Vitarte hospital. The sample will be a census so no sampling will be applied, the instruments to be used are validated. On the other hand, to process the data, Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 24 will be used, to contract the proposed hypotheses the Spearman test, the results found will be presented in tables and graphs.

La leche humana, es el alimento con un alto valor nutricional y perfecto en los lactantes particularmente por sus múltiples propiedades ya que garantiza un crecimiento y desarrollo adecuado, asimismo, permite sostener un vínculo con la madre. Por otra parte, el 45% de los decesos infantiles están relacionados a la desnutrición a nivel mundial objetivo. “Determinar como el nivel de conocimiento de las madres adolescentes se relaciona con las prácticas sobre lactancia materna del servicio de alojamiento conjunto”, en esta investigación el método a emplear será hipotético deductivo, con diseño, no experimental, correlacional y trasversal. 90 madres adolescentes participaran en este estudio, además, se les aplicara el instrumento durante su permanencia en el servicio de alojamiento conjunto del hospital de Vitarte. La muestra será censal por lo que no se aplicará muestreo, los instrumentos a utilizar están validados, Por otra parte, para procesar los datos, se utilizará el Microsoft Excel y el SPSS versión 24, para la contratación de las hipótesis planteadas se le aplicara la prueba de Spearman, los resultados encontrados se presentaran en tablas y gráficos.
