Coping strategies and their relationship with the level of overload of the family caregiver of patients with schizophrenia at the regional hospital of Ayacucho 2023

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the relationship between coping strategies and the level of overload of the family custodian of patients with schizophrenia at the Regional Hospital of Ayacucho, 2023. Materials and Methods: The thesis has quantitative orientation, application prototype, nonexperimental, correlated and cross-sectional design. The population will be made up of 35 family members who monitor patients with a schizophrenic diagnosis. To supply data, it is through inquiry and 2 instruments will be used, the Coping Strategies Inventory Questionnaire (CSI) made up of forty topics, evaluated by the Likert-type scale with 5 points and 8 dimensions: problem resolution, reconstruction of knowledge , social support, emotional expression, avoidance of problems, wishful thinking, social withdrawal and self-criticism, and the second: The Zarit Custodian's Recharge Scale, a questionnaire of 22 questions, with five choices to answer, according to the Likert scale, made up of three dimensions: caregiver impact, interpersonal relationship and self-efficacy expectations. Both tools have various degrees of validity and confidence, which ensures that the tool is suitable for later application.

Objetivo: Analizar la relación de estrategias de afrontamiento y el nivel de sobrecarga del familiar custodio de pacientes con esquizofrenia del Hospital regional de Ayacucho, 2023. Materiales y Métodos: La tesis tiene orientación cuantitativa, prototipo aplicativo, diseño no experimental, correlacionado y corte transversalizado. La población será formada por 35 familiares vigilantes de enfermos con diagnóstico esquizofrénico. Para abastecerse de datos ,es mediante indagación y se empleará 2 instrumentos, el Cuestionario de Inventario de Estrategias de Afrontamiento (CSI) conformado por cuarenta temas, evaluado por la escala tipo Likert con 5 puntos y 8 dimensiones: resolución de problemáticas, reconstrucción del conocimiento, apoyo social, expresión emotiva, evitamiento de problemas, pensamiento desiderativo, retirada social y autocrítica, y el segundo: La Escala de recarga del Custodio de Zarit cuestionario de 22 interrogaciones, con cinco elecciones para responder, según la escala Likert, conformada por tres dimensiones: impacto del cuidador, relación Interpersonal y expectativas autoeficacia. Ambas herramientas tienen varios grados de validez y confianza, lo que asegura de que dicha herramienta es apta luego aplicarla.
