Level of Knowledge about Informed Consent Covid 19-MINSA, in Dentistry Students of 9th and 10th Cycle of Norbert Wiener University.

Abstract

The main objective of this research was to determine the level of knowledge about informed consent for COVID-19 – Ministry of Health of Peru (MINSA) among dentistry students in the 9th and 10th cycles at the Norbert Wiener Private University. The study was observational, cross-sectional, prospective, and descriptive. A questionnaire consisting of 20 anonymous questions was administered to the study participants through a virtual survey. The results revealed that 38% of the students exhibited a low level of knowledge about the informed consent for COVID-19 – MINSA. In contrast, 62% of the sample had a medium level of knowledge. No students were reported to have a high level of knowledge about the informed consent for COVID-19 – MINSA. Based on the results, it was concluded that the level of knowledge about the informed consent for COVID-19 – MINSA was medium for most students in the 9th and 10th cycles at the Norbert Wiener Private University.

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el consentimiento informado COVID 19 – Ministerio de Salud del Perú (MINSA) en alumnos de odontología del 9no y 10mo ciclo de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener. El trabajo realizado fue observacional, transversal, prospectivo y descriptivo. Se aplicó un cuestionario conformado por 20 preguntas de manera anónima a los participantes del estudio mediante una encuesta virtual. Los resultados evidenciaron que del total de la muestra estudiada el 38 % de los alumnos presentaron un nivel bajo de conocimiento sobre el consentimiento informado COVID 19 – MINSA. Por otro lado, el 62% de la muestra obtuvo un nivel medio. No se encontraron reportes de alumnos con un nivel alto de conocimiento sobre el consentimiento informado COVID 19 – MINSA. Con la ayuda de los resultados obtenidos se concluye que el nivel de conocimiento sobre consentimiento informado COVID 19-MINSA fue medio en la mayoría de estudiantes de 9no y 10mo ciclo de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener.
